The history of Bodegas Góngora dates back to the middle of the 15th century when Sir. José Góngora de Arando, a young farmer native of Navarra, arrived in Aljarafe´s lands in Seville and acquired the Hacienda San Rafael to turn it into a winery for the aging of fine and generous wines.

Bodegas Gongora becomes the first exporting winery in Seville, with the shipment of an important order of our Brandy Viejo Góngora to Venezuela. This was the beginning of a long exporting tradition.
